Quinn M. Biggs has been a Research Scientist at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress since 2007. Dr. Biggs received his Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, Masters in Public Health from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, and Doctorate in Clinical Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine from the University of North Texas. He completed internship and fellowship training programs in consultation/liaison behavioral health at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, Illinois and while there facilitated trauma and other support groups and worked with local and regional authorities to develop plans for emergency behavioral health responses to disasters and terrorism.

Dr. Biggs worked for more than a decade in inpatient, outpatient and residential psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment programs with patients of all ages. He conducted research in the psychiatric consequences of transportation traumas, reduction of dental anxiety and tailoring health messages for chemical dependency populations and is published in the scientific literature. His interests include psychological reactions to traumatic injury, clinical and community responses to disasters and terrorism, as well as intervention and recovery following traumatic experiences.
